PATRIMONIO E HISTORIA<\/span><\/h4>\n

En el siglo XVI fue levantado el castillo de Castro de Rei, que le dio nombre, blas\u00f3n y escudo a la villa.El castillo, que con el n\u00facleo de poblaci\u00f3n, estuvo rodeado de murallas, se conserv\u00f3 en pie hasta 1941, a\u00f1o en el que desapareci\u00f3. El altonazo en el que se halla el n\u00facleo primitivo de la villa fue un castro rodeado por los r\u00edos Az\u00famara y Toreneiros, conserva restos de las antiguas defensas del castro y de la fortaleza. Con fecha 4 de Febrero de 1971 fue declarada conjunto hist\u00f3rico y paraje pintoresco.<\/p>\n

Son numerosas las m\u00e1moas, medorras,antas con o sin dolmen interior, todas ellas de 4000 a 5000 a\u00f1os, situadas en zonas como Desbroces, Loentia, Ansemar, Ribras de L\u00edo (en el limite con Otero de Rei), y en otras parroquias allanadas por consecuencia de trabajos agr\u00edcolas.<\/p>\n

Existe una gran cantidad de castros que dan nombre a villas, parroquias y lugares, procede citar los Castros de Duarria, Az\u00famara, Bazar, Outeiro, el propio de Castro de Rei, croas de Gobierno, Loentia, rodela en Balmonte, la Escritura en Sta. Leocadia identificada por algunos historiadores con el Monte Medulio, en cuya cima fue contruido en 1931 un monumento al Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas, y m\u00e1s tarde un v\u00eda crucis desde la iglesia parroquial al monumento.<\/p>\n

Al hablar de patrimonio arqueol\u00f3gico estamos citando el Castro y museo de Viladonga, considerado emblema de este municipio. No podemos olvidar la hermosa ponte Duarria, por lo que deb\u00eda de pasar una v\u00eda Romana que iba de Lucus Augusti a la costa.<\/p>\n

Castro de Rei posee tambi\u00e9n un rico patrimonio de arquitectura civil, colegio Duancos (Duancos), pazo Se\u00f1ores de Perej\u00f3n (Mondriz), casa de Ancado( Mondriz), casa de Sanxurso (Mondriz), las Lomas (Loentia), o Corral y casa Puertas (Az\u00famara), Fontix\u00f3n, Casa de Outeiro (Ramil), da Torre (Balmonte), Granda, Aguiar y del Pacio8Bazar), Cornide y Puerto Bex\u00e1n (Bend\u00edcela), Rei-Stolle y casa de Mon (Coea), Tormentosa(Duarria), Francos (Gobierno), casa de Arrois o de los Montenegros, Texeda y Reboleiras (Mos), Qui\u00f1o\u00e1 (Oriz\u00f3n), Villamarin (Coto de Ala), Fontelaxe, Agueiros, Torre de Seivane y Casa Pl\u00e1cido (Castro Ribeiras de L\u00edo); casa cuartel de la milicia para albergar tropas durante la guerra Carlista (Prevesos). La casi totalidad de los citados edificios poseen hermosos escudos y fueron construidas la mayor\u00eda de ellos en los siglos XVIII y XIX.<\/p>\n

Peque\u00f1o puente de cachoter\u00eda pizarrosa, con un arco de medio punto y calzada de piedra, ubicado sobre el r\u00edo Vello. Como curiosidad entre otras cosas Rozas dispone de dos hangares en el\u00a0el aer\u00f3drom, el hangar principal es uno de los tres que originalmente instal\u00f3 el ej\u00e9rcito alem\u00e1n\u00a0el siglo pasado. Constituye una magn\u00edfica obra \u201cviva\u201d de ingenier\u00eda. En total suman aproximadamente 3.000 m2. Esto hace posible que\u00a0todos\u00a0los aviones con base en Rozas est\u00e9n hangarados<\/span><\/p>\n
